So this past summer I got a lot of questions on how the GT suspension platform works and more importantly how it rides. I’m by no means an engineer, but I do know a thing or two about bike suspension design. The GT Independent Drivetrain design is quite a bit different from the competition and from all of the previous suspension bikes I have owned. For me the suspension was simple to setup and required little maintenance after putting the bike through its paces all summer. The ID design gave me confidence on the downhills, while it also provided an amazing experience on the long climbs here in Colorado.
I could go on and on about how great the design really is, but the video below from GT Bicycles gets into the technical details of the design. So get out there and try it out for yourself and be ready to be blown away. Enjoy!
